The Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) is a comprehensive program for adolescents ages 12-24 and their families that integrates prevention, treatment, family services, and aftercare into one model. The YEP! Program offers hope, recovery skills, emotion regulation and relationship skills, and an increased capacity to deal with the challenges many of today’s youth face.

How it works:

PREVENTION

The Prevention part of the program utilizes Youth Support Services (YSS), a life skills program that helps adolescents build skills to more effectively deal with the challenges and demands of everyday life.

INTERVENTION

The Intervention or treatment part of the program utilizes evidence-based practices. The YEP program offers 3 levels of care, and assessment will be ongoing and the level of care placement will be adjusted as needed:

INTERVENTION

Prevention/Psychoeducation/Life Skills Regular Outpatient Therapy (ROP) - 5 or fewer hours/weekly of clinical contact; Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOP) - 6 or more hours/weekly of clinical contact

POSTVENTION

The Postvention, or aftercare part of the program, utilizes Assertive Continuing Care (ACC), a home-based approach designed to prevent relapse.
