About the Northern New Mexico Rural Health Network - Substance Use Response Program.

The purpose of these events are to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with opioid overdose in the Northern New Mexico jurisdictions of Taos County, Rio Arriba County, the Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council (ENIPC) and the Jicarilla Apache Nation. Through this program, Serna Solutions is providing behavioral health training and supervision at no cost to agencies and/or individual providers or the community at large. Any person who resides in or supports individual(s) with behavioral health needs in Taos County, Rio Arriba County, ENIPC and the Jicarilla is welcome to participate.* All workshops will provide CEUs approved through the New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board at no cost to the participant. 

*Additional slots can be filled by persons outside of the Northern New Mexico region.

This is the second part of a two-part training.This is a continuation of the Embodied Perspectives on Treating Trauma w/Jenn from Feb. 18.
Monday – March 1st, 2021 at 9:00 AM
This training discusses the positive impact motivational incentives have on retention, attendance in group sessions, submission of clean drug screens and prolonged periods of abstinence.
Tuesday – March 2nd, 2021 at 1:00 PM
This is a 2-day training: March 4 & 5, beginning at 9:00 a.m. each day. This workshop will provide participants with an overview of the different classes of drugs of abuse.
Thursday – March 4th, 2021 at 9:00 AM
We will explore some advantages/disadvantages of self-disclosing and when and how to self-disclose.
Tuesday – March 9th, 2021 at 9:00 AM
This workshop will give you the nuts and bolts of providing clinical supervision in the State of New Mexico while also exploring models of leadership development.
Thursday – March 11th, 2021 at 9:00 AM
This training examines best practices in clinical documentation training utilizing the Golden Thread approach.
Tuesday – March 16th, 2021 at 9:00 AM
This training examines best practices in clinical documentation training utilizing the Golden Thread approach.
Tuesday – March 16th, 2021 at 1:00 PM
Providers teach clients about self care and how imperative it is to both the stability and transformation of one's self.
Wednesday – March 17th, 2021 at 9:00 AM
Participants will examine their own beliefs about pain, pain management, and addiction.
Thursday – March 18th, 2021 at 9:00 AM
This is a 2-day training: March 23 & 24, beginning at 9:00 am. This training will include an exploration of neurobiological research, experiential exercises, and practical applications meant to support our clients and ourselves in the development of such interoceptive skills.
