This training will provide participants with critical information and hands-on exercises regarding best practices in Clinical Supervision while incorporating skills and strategies from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). It begins with a review of the State of New Mexico requirements for supervision of non-independently licensed behavioral health professionals followed by a discussion about the different types of supervision. The workshop will then move participants through a review of key DBT concepts and some activities that can assist supervisors in developing skills in their supervisees that can improve emotional resiliency and prevent emotional exhaustion.
