Dialectical Behavioral Therapy or ‘DBT’ is a therapy that was originally created for difficult to manage mood and personality disorders. It is now an evidence-based practice that assists clients with mood, personality, anxiety, addictive and trauma-related disorders. DBT provides clients with skills that promote emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. This training will provide participants with an overview of this approach focusing on applying it in a developmentally appropriate way to adolescents. (12 CEUs)
