Serna Solutions currently offers a DBT Skills group, grief support group and (2) Family Empowerment Project groups. For many, group therapy is an ideal choice to address concerns, create positive habits and make concrete progress towards treatment goals. You can find detailed information about our groups below.
Groups convene according to shared experiences. Some address substance use/abuse. Others form a safe space for healing from loss and living with grief. Many other issues such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, and low self-esteem can be addressed in group therapy.
If you are searching for a safe space for yourself, a family member, or a friend, please reach out and inquire about our available group therapy options.
Grief is a process that can often feel isolating. By connecting with others who are grieving, you can find comfort and support. Our online support group is open to join at any time, and is for anyone experiencing loss of any kind: death of a loved one or pet, pregnancy loss, life transition, and relationship or community dissolution. Group leaders will facilitate sharing experiences, practicing mindfulness, and learning coping skills. If interested, please call us at 505-207-8929 and join together to process grief and learn coping skills, every Thursday from 2-3pm MST via Zoom.
Our Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Group is now being held every Tuesday at 12:00-1:30 PM MST via Zoom. DBT focuses on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. If you are 18 and older, and wish to manage difficult emotions, live more fully in the present moment, and successfully negotiate interpersonal relationships, this group may be the right fit for you. Contact us today to learn more.
When a loved one is struggling with addiction, everyone in the family is affected. Our Family Empowerment Groups are based on the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) model, an evidence-based program to help families who have a loved one challenged by alcohol and substance use. This method teaches practical and effective skills that keep families connected and safe while guiding their loved one into treatment.
Family Empowerment Groups meet in-person every Wednesday at 6:00-7:00 PM MST at 400 Gold Ave SW #1201 (Simms Building) and Online via Zoom every Wednesday from 5:00-6:00 PM MST. Groups are open to join at any time. Contact us today to learn more.
