Nadia Haroon, MPS, LMHC, Santa Fe

Nadia has a Bachelor’s in Communications from Ohio University and a Master of Professional Studies in Art Therapy & Creativity Development from Pratt Institute in New York. Nadia completed additional training in Clinical Counseling during her graduate studies and has also trained in Integrative Humanistic Counseling. She has also earned a certificate in Creative Arts & Health from The New School in New York City. She has a background in management positions in non profit humanitarian organizations before she trained to become a therapist.

Nadia is humanistically-oriented and utilizes depth psychology, art therapy, gestalt therapy, attachment-based therapy, transactional analysis and polyvagal-informed therapy. She believes in the wisdom of the body and offers expressive practices such as art, writing and movement as part of the cultivation of healthy coping strategies.

Nadia has worked with young children, adolescents and adults. She has experience providing therapy for stress, anxiety, depression, emotional disturbance & dysregulation, cognitive dissonance, codependency, anger management and familial & cultural enmeshment. She has also provided therapy for managing physical conditions, symptoms and the relationship with the body.
