Lauren Marie Turley, LMFT-A, Santa Fe

Lauren (she/her), joins the Serna Solutions team, as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate working towards full licensure. She most recently comes from working as a therapist at the SFRC Women’s Residential program, where she shared somatics, community care, mindfulness based movement, and expressive art therapies with groups and individuals.

Northern New Mexico has been her home for the past ten years. As a somatic therapist, her approach with clients is relational, collaborative, trauma informed, strength based, holistic and experiential. She is guided by values of loving presence, compassionate awareness and liberation psychology.

Her background includes facilitating yoga and embodied creative movement with youth and families in schools, detention & recovery centers, and homeless shelters since 2001. Respectfully inviting deeper accessibility of these ancient practices within marginalized communities has been of great focus and joyful intentionality. Lauren is also a licensed massage therapist, specializing in rejuvenation massage and Chi Nei Tsang, as well as a community birth and postpartum doula since 2010.

As a lifelong learner, and passionate previous public school teacher, Lauren sees growth and creativity as key parts of the therapeutic process. She weaves these into her practices with individuals and groups with hands-on projects, Earth-based rituals, and curiosity informing the directionality of the experience. Her therapeutic orientations are influenced by Hakomi Mindfulness Centered Somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems, Yoga, and Eco-Somatics. Sessions may invite greater self-awareness, co-regulation and connectivity with self and community.

Lauren enjoys working with individuals, couples, teens, families, women in recovery and is a LGBTQIA+ally. She specializes with clients seeking support with depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, grief, pregnancy/birth/postpartum, sexuality, PMDD and menstrual conditions, chronic health issues, and spirituality.

She has trained in Motivational Interviewing, Community Reinforcement Approach Family Training, Gottman Method Levels 1 and 2, Relational Somatic Healing, and is an E-500YTT.
