Santana Titla, LADAC, Santa Fe, San Idelfonso

Santana Titla, LADAC, is Acoma Pueblo and San Carlos Apache. She has been in the substance abuse field for over 20 years, primarily working in Pueblo communities across New Mexico. She has lived and experienced addiction’s negative impacts personally, with family, friends and community. That journey caused her to seek help, resources, personal skills and in the process she has found life fulfilling work. Santana has helped people with virtually every type of addiction and their co-occurring challenges.

Santana is also known for her ability to create fun, inclusive, and impactful community events for people to actively participate in their own wellness. Examples include Rock Your Mocs fun run 5K and 1mile walk (in its 10th year), Indigenous Peoples Day 5k and 10k fun run(in its 2nd year) and she has been one of the state coordinators for Red Ribbon Relay Multicultural “Drug Free” Relay Run for over 10 years.

Santana is also the proud mother to Kuwani (Titla) a well-known young drag performer in NM and surrounding states. She also enjoys bringing up several Rez dogs and a cat, Buttons.
