Monica Robbins, LMSW, Santa Fe

Monica’s interest in counseling and healing began with her role as a Wilderness Therapy Field Guide working with at-risk teenagers in southern Utah and continued as residential staff at the Life Healing Center here in Santa Fe, NM. She then shifted focus becoming a massage therapist, and now continues with her role as a mental health therapist. Monica draws on the healing power of nature, mindfulness, play, conscious relationships, and spirituality in her life.

Monica’s experiences have taught her that each healing journey is unique and her role as a therapist is to help clients find the right answers for themselves while assisting them with moving through obstacles and build resiliency. Additionally, Monica is passionate about supporting clients in developing a conscious, loving, and compassionate relationship with themselves and others.

Monica takes a client-centered collaborative approach and has experience working with teenagers and adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and PTSD. Monica is trained in Motivational Interviewing, DBT, EMDR and is receiving training to become a mindfulness teacher. Monica has had a daily meditation practice for 18 years and loves to share the power of mindfulness with others.
