Serra R. Dittel, LMSW, MPH (she/her/hers)
Serra is an experienced Licensed Master Social Worker who received her Master’s in Social Work and Public Health at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. As part of her graduate program, Serra was the editorial assistant for the Journal of Drug Education and also taught classes in Human Sexuality and Health and Wellness to undergraduate and High School students in southern New Mexico.
Serra has worked for the State of New Mexico in Espanola and Santa Fe in the field as a clinical practitioner in prevention services for families experiencing abuse/neglect issues, and subsequently in administration as an advocate for effective policy change.
Serra has experience working with a diverse range of clients, such as children, youth and adults in areas of domestic violence, child abuse/neglect related issues, trauma, addictions and mental health. Serra also has experience navigating various State systems, such as CYFD and the courts. Serra takes a client-centered, trauma-informed approach in supporting clients in recognizing their inner-strength and power to improve their mental health and overall wellness.
