Monica Caldas, MA, LMHC graduated from Southwestern College and completed intensive training at the SKY Center focusing on strengthening family cohesion to prevent suicide. She worked at Solace Crisis Treatment Center where she helped clients manage trauma symptoms and work towards self-identified goals for healing. She is trained in Motivational Interviewing, DBT, CBT, CRAFT, Lifespan Integration, and Brain Spotting. Monica implements a trauma-informed, solution-oriented approach to working with clients across the life span. She is bilingual (English/Spanish) and enjoys working with families, individuals, and groups. She believes that clients are the experts on their own lives and it is her job as a counselor to guide clients in their healing by deepening self-acceptance and helping to strengthen connections with family and community.
