Magda L. Johnson. MA, LMCH. She is a native from Peru and bilingual in Spanish and English. She has a background in Accounting (Peru) and Business Administration (Massachusetts). After overcoming a tragic life event with a counselor’s support she decided to become one herself to help others the way she was helped. Magda earned her BA in Integrative Leadership Studies and Human Development from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree in Professional Counseling in Clinical and Mental Health from the University of New Mexico. Magda’s passion for helping families, woman, and children is her motivation for continuing learning to best serve her clients. Magda is trained on Emotional Education and is a Facilitator for Integrative Processing Technique (an in-depth exploration of emotional healing release using Behavioral Kinesiology and muscle testing). Magda has also trained in Motivational Interviewing, CRAFT (support for families that have love ones struggling with addictions), Sand tray Play therapy (mainly for children and also practiced with adults), EMDR (trauma processing), MBSEP (Mindfulness bases somatic emotional processing), DBT (Dialectical behavioral therapy), and Brain Spotting. Magda extends a warm safe environment for her clients of all diverse backgrounds as she understands from experience the cultural, socioeconomic, and language existing barriers. She has raised her 5 children in a bicultural home and brings life experience along with compassion and a genuine desire to use her skills to help clients in their healing process.
